Senior Voice Engineer

SENIOR VOICE ENGINEER- DALLAS, TX
The Select Group is currently hiring for a Sr Voice Engineer to join one of our top clients in the telecommunications industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Voice Engineering, specifically possessing a CCNP certification along with a solid foundation in CUCM (12 and 10.x). The role involves working with Microsoft Windows DCE server, implementing access control lists within routers and switches, and managing Unity Voicemail. Work Schedule: On-site three days a week ( 9am-4pm on Monday/Wednesday/Friday), with evening shifts (8pm-12am) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Evening work primarily involves making changes to the production network.

Note: Candidates must be able to work directly on TSG’s W2 or independently on their own C2C.

SENIOR VOICE ENGINEER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Routing/Switching background:
    • Solid understanding of Microsoft Windows DCE server and its integration into Voice Engineering.
  • Unified Communications Expertise:
    • Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) versions 12 and 10.x
    • Hands-on experience with Unity Voicemail systems.
    • Proven track record in upgrading and deploying Call Manager, including building from scratch on new hardware.
  • Network Security and Implementation:
    • Proficiency in creating and managing access control lists (ACLs) inside routers and switches.
    • In-depth knowledge of ACL configurations to enhance network security.
  • Client Interaction and Screen Sharing:
    • Excellent communication skills for effective client-facing interactions.
    • Confidence in conducting screen-sharing sessions, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Independence and Documentation Skills:
    • 8-10 years of experience demonstrating independence, particularly during on-site and evening shifts.
    • Meticulous documentation of changes, providing clear and comprehensive records.
  • Team Collaboration and Communication:
    • Effective collaboration with team members and cross-functional teams.
    • Crucial communication skills for client follow-up and reporting back to the change management team regularly.

  • CCNP
