Summary
The Vice President of Public Affairs plays a critical role in managing and execution of client accounts, assisting with clients with both long and short-term objectives and in proactively strategizing day-to-day tasks.
In addition to effective communication, organizational, and writing skills, this position requires a deep understanding of the media and political landscape and in-depth knowledge of Public Affairs advocacy infrastructure both in Washington and beyond.
Responsibilities
Leading client engagement strategies
Leading the development of prep memos and briefing materials for client meetings
Development of New Business and new business leads
Leading writing and research efforts for clients
Serving as the Manager for clients with other AxAdvocacy sister companies (Research, Digital, Media Production, etc.)
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Public Affairs, federal, state, or local government, lobbying and/or political campaigns
Public Affairs Agency Experience
Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills
Solid networking and interpersonal skills
Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and related applications (social media content creation and web development a plus, but not required).
