Senior Vice President Of Public Affairs

Summary

The Vice President of Public Affairs plays a critical role in managing and execution of client accounts, assisting with clients with both long and short-term objectives and in proactively strategizing day-to-day tasks.

In addition to effective communication, organizational, and writing skills, this position requires a deep understanding of the media and political landscape and in-depth knowledge of Public Affairs advocacy infrastructure both in Washington and beyond.

Responsibilities

• Leading client engagement strategies

• Leading the development of prep memos and briefing materials for client meetings

• Development of New Business and new business leads

• Leading writing and research efforts for clients

• Serving as the Manager for clients with other AxAdvocacy sister companies (Research, Digital, Media Production, etc.)

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

• Minimum of ten (10) years of demonstrated experience in Public Affairs, federal, state, or local government, lobbying and/or political campaigns

• Public Affairs Agency Experience

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills

• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills

• Solid networking and interpersonal skills

• Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and related applications (social media content creation and web development a plus, but not required).
