We are looking for a dynamic and visionary leader who will drive operational efficiency and shape the strategic direction of our education initiatives ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation and driving growth and success across all aspects of our Education Services.
You will report to the Executive Vice President of Education Services to provide leadership, vision, and direction in the following areas:
- Support and service to children and young adults in our schools.
- Program enhancement and focus on developmentally appropriate practice.
- Compliance with staff hiring supervision and workforce development.
- Quality assurance and regulatory compliance with SED, DOE, DOHMH, CACFP.
- Ensuring full enrollment to capacity.
- Fiscal management, and budget monitoring.
- Policy development and strategic planning.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Partner with the leadership team on emerging strategic initiatives from vision to execution, including project management and implementation.
- Responsible for program analytics and data management. Monitor progress on organizational and program-specific goals via surveys, focus groups, assessments, and attendance.
- Monitor all programs' attendance to ensure maximum revenue is secured.
- Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement among our educators and staff, promoting professional growth and development opportunities.
- Stay informed of the latest research, trends, and best practices in special education and early childhood education and incorporate relevant insights into our programs and practices.
Operational Responsibilities
- Ensure programmatic compliance with all pertinent federal, state and city regulations, as well as with all external certifying and accrediting bodies (e.g., NAEYC).
- Periodically review program records and meet with management staff to ensure that programs are fully prepared for NAEYC Accreditation, 4410 oversight audits and SED quality assurance visits.
- Review findings of any investigations, meet with appropriate staff to resolve issues, and ensure appropriate follow-up within designated timeframes for both internal investigation reports and Justice Center requests.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative educational programs that meet the diverse needs of our students and support their overall development and well-being.
- In conjunction with the EVP, ensure staff development, development of school workforce, the institution of career ladders, and access to external training and educational opportunities.
- Oversee budgeting, resource allocation, and financial planning for Education Services, maximizing efficiency and effectiveness while maintaining fiscal responsibility.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including families, community partners, and regulatory agencies, to ensure alignment with our mission and goals.
- Ensure adherence by program staff to HeartShare's policies and procedures.
- Represent HeartShare and its administration, both within and outside the organization, in a manner that promotes the mission, vision, values and goals of the agency.
- You may be assigned additional tasks and initiatives as assigned by the Chief Program Officer, EVP of Education Services and/or the President and CEO based on the agency and program needs.
Master's Degree in Education or related field required
Advanced Credential in School Building Leadership (or in process) required
Advanced Credential School District Leadership preferred
Minimum five years' experience in early childhood or school age education
Minimum three years' experience in education administration or leadership
