We are based in San Francisco, with offices in New York, Boston, and Chicago. However, we are also open to hiring in the following states: Connecticut, Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, New Jersey, North Carolina, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, and Washington.

Primary Responsibilities:
Highwire’s Senior Vice President, Integrated Marketing acts as a senior account lead for our largest clients. Coordinating and leading a variety of disciplines across multiple programs, business units or verticals, you are skilled and experienced in multiple disciplines, and work closely with our content, creative and social leaders to develop and deliver programs that help expand our clients’ businesses and help deepen relationships with our most important clients.

Business growth and development is a central responsibility of this role, as is cultivating client relationships at the most senior level. You will help existing clients to diagnose brand and product marketing challenges, integrate their work with that of their communications peers, and present them with impactful, integrated solutions which use all of Highwire’s skills across content, social and creative.

You are a natural, collaborative leader and a problem solver. You excel at communicating with disparate teams, joining dots, finding efficiencies and coordinating multiple projects under singular leadership and a cohesive vision.

You will also play a key role in coordinating and creating Highwire marketing materials such as case studies, award entries and thought leadership, telling our stories of integrated success to a larger audience, and with greater regularity.

Essential Functions

  • Build cross-functional relationships with senior clients, bridging the gaps between communications, brand and product marketing teams
  • Define and drive client growth strategies, expanding integrated programs across assigned client accounts
  • Lead key accounts and combine content, creative and social strategy to leverage the best of each discipline
  • Build foundational agency processes that emphasize an integrated approach to solving client problems, onboarding new business, and staffing accounts
  • Help clients meet their marketing and communications objectives through the creation of highly effective, award-worthy campaigns and programs
  • Collaborate with content, creative and social leaders within Highwire to ensure the right resources are available and deployed against our most important accounts
  • Work seamlessly with PR teams, helping translate and coordinate their work with marketing objectives and activities
  • Assist in the hiring and retention of new talent across our digital team
  • Help our team stay at the forefront of new channels, platforms and technologies
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness of the client experience through higher quality output, more effective workflows and the creation of standards and playbooks
  • Dramatically increase the volume, and win rate, of awards across the content, social, creative and PR teams - ideally by leveraging their combined work to showcase integrated success
  • Act as the Highwire editor for case studies and website content, working with the agency’s business development, creative and content teams to develop, proof and publish new Highwire content

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Integrated Marketing, journalism, communications, or related field
  • Minimum 15 years experience in communications either in-house or with an agency with at least 5 years in a senior leadership capacity
  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably as an SVP, Integrated Marketing, or similar, in a dynamic agency environment
  • Strong background and proficiency in multiple marketing disciplines, including content, creative, and social strategies
  • Ability to build and cultivate relationships with senior-level clients, diagnosing brand and product marketing challenges
  • Demonstrated success in defining and driving client growth strategies
  • Natural collaborative leader with excellent communication skills, capable of coordinating multiple projects under a cohesive vision
  • Ability to build foundational agency processes emphasizing an integrated approach to solving client problems
  • Involvement in hiring and retaining digital team members, contributing to team growth
  • Stay at the forefront of new channels, platforms, and technologies relevant to marketing and communications
  • Proven ability to increase the volume and win rate of awards, showcasing integrated success across teams
  • Act as the Highwire editor for case studies and website content, collaborating with business development, creative, and content teams
