The Senior UI/UX Designer will serve as a Senior UI/UX Designer responsible for creating intuitive, high-quality and seamless customer experiences for a variety of internal and externally facing applications by optimizing the functional experience and designing a polished and distinctive branded experience for products and applications. A contributor for the design strategy for multiple digital products, leveraging data and user research, as well as keeping up to date with modern design trends as it relates to the organizations' strategies. Responsible for applying user-centered design principles and techniques to partner with software delivery teams to inform and improve solution design. Expected to interact with business stakeholders across multiple departments, and Product Owners, developers, BA and QA professionals on the delivery team(s) to develop a shared understanding of business and user goals.
This position will be with National Indemnity Company in Omaha, NE in a hybrid environment 50% in-office per week. This position is not eligible for employer visa sponsorship. #LI-AM1 / #LI-Hybrid
What will you do?

  • Creates intuitive, high-quality and seamless customer experiences for a variety of internal and external facing applications.
  • Works closely and communicates regularly with internal product stakeholders, fellow designers, and other technology teams to ensure smooth design development.
  • Creates, conducts and analyzes user research with internal and external customers.
  • Partner with software delivery teams, including Product Owners and BAs, to translate designs into user stories, prioritize, and deliver design solutions.
  • Stay current on the latest UX/UI trends, techniques and best practices for web and mobile design.

What are we looking for?
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in education and experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years related work experience
  • Proficiency in UX design tools (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, InVision, etc.)
  • Experience with user research methods and techniques

Who would excel in this role?
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) and software development practices and procedures
  • Experience working in application lifecycle management tools such as DevOps, JIRA, or Rally
  • Design experience in mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
  • Familiarity with continuous delivery and continuous integration
  • Insurance industry and product knowledge
