Senior Treasury Analyst

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for a Sr. Treasury Analystfor a CONTRACT assignment with one of our premier Utility Services clients in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities:

• Manage cash to ensure optimal use by calculating cash estimate to result in daily positive ending balances for all concentration and standalone accounts within multiple bank relationships. Make short-term borrowing and repayment recommendations based on forecasted cash requirements. Invest excess cash in investments when applicable. Coordinate and monitor yields for all fund managers for investments and prepare reports and journal entries. Report daily cash positions to management. (30%)
• Assist with the management of bank relationships by evaluating bank services and functions, completing opening account documentation, maintaining applicable records, monitoring monthly service volumes and assisting with fee negotiations. Manage bank fees and pursue fee adjustments. Make bank services recommendations based on trends and usage. Develop and maintain software for bank fee analysis. (20%)
• Prepare journal entries for loans and interest and the allocation of short-term loans and interest between regulated companies. Review cash management journal entries. (10%)
• Track and report daily cash balances for subsidiaries for Accountants to determine month-end advance activities. (10%)
• Serve as security administrator for multiple bank software user entitlements, including policy recommendations. Train bank software users and investigate/resolve any bank software issues. Consult with bank representatives for effective resolution. (10%)
• Ensure cash management processes and procedures are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley policies; (10%)
• Performs additional assignments as needed. Lead projects related to operating company cash management issues (10%)

Required Skills:

• Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college/university
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from an accredited college/university
• Bachelor's Degree will be considered in lieu of 3 years of related experience.
• Minimum of two years as a Treasury Analyst, or minimum of eight years of related financial work experience in progressively more complex assignments
• Minimum of three years of cash management experience; Experience with cash management and bank software
• Knowledge of segregation of duties and security controls
• Ability to identify and solve problems and analyze financial/banking data
• Ability to implement and maintain fee analysis software, ability to be an expert of and perform problem resolution on bank software
• Ability to apply cash management technical knowledge to generate efficiencies and cost savings
• Proficient in MS Word and Excel; Ability to work in high pressure/high impact environment.
