Your future plans

• Partner with Development and other teams on market and site selection for development of utility scale generation facilities with primary focus in MISO (other markets possible)
• Provide locational strategy and steering for new projects, understanding the intricacies of the various grid rules to take advantage of all opportunities
• Develop thorough understanding and evaluation of potential interconnection alternatives for various projects, and the corresponding costs, benefits, and challenges for each alternative.
• Problem solve complicated interconnection issues, working with Transmission Owners and RWE teams to resolve situations and bring about successful projects for both technical and situational issues.
• Capability to perform power flow analysis as necessary to develop actionable information for RWE decision making, QA/QC
• Scope, request, review and verify interconnection studies and other analysis from transmission providers and consultants.
• Assist Development, Regulatory, Construction, Engineering, Operations, and Dispatch teams with multiple aspects of project development, design and operation.
• Participate in ISO regulatory and stakeholder processes, industry groups and associations, representing RWE's interests and views to develop, construct and operate projects in the region.
• Maintain regular and impactful communications with RWE internal stakeholder teams, discussing transmission developments and opportunities. Includes tracking of transmission projects in the ISO process, anticipating potential
• opportunities, providing feedback to transmission processes to include needed transmission to support RWE projects.
• Share knowledge and expertise to enhance the Global Transmission team

Your powerful skills

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in transmission planning & interconnection processes, with several years specifically related to MISO market, transmission planning, generation interconnection and participation in MISO stakeholder processes
• Experience performing power flow simulations with power flow software: PSS/E, PowerWorld, PSLF and/or TARA.
• Project management certification/experience a plus
• Minimum requirement - Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or related/similar field
• Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or related/similar field desired
