Senior Thought Leadership Analyst - Hybrid

This is a hybrid position in Reston, VA. 

Reporting to the Director, Corporate Strategy, the Senior Thought Leadership Analyst will be responsible for developing and executing Ellucian’s Thought Leadership strategy aligned with our corporate goals to position Ellucian as a trusted expert in higher education. Example activities include scoping Thought Leadership themes, content, and distribution strategy, elevating leader perspectives from across the organization, scoping proprietary research initiatives, and developing executive briefs on global higher education trends.

The ideal candidate is a strategic self-starter with a proven track record in content management, Thought Leadership or research roles. The candidate must have strong writing and editing skills, the ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels and vehicles. The role will require collaboration with leaders across Ellucian's strategy, marketing, and communications teams.

Where you will make an impact

• You’ll bring energy, storytelling, creativity, curiosity, strategic thinking, and smart judgment to help build out Ellucian’s credibility as a thought leader in higher education
• Develop and execute a comprehensive Thought Leadership research strategy aligned with our business objectives, target audiences, and industry trends
• Create a Thought Leadership content calendar and plan
• Create and assume responsibility for key deliverables (e.g., white papers, case studies, pulse surveys, benchmarking studies, webinars)
• Continuously innovate with new formats and strategies (e.g., social media, videos, podcasts)
• Guide the creation of content by other subject matter experts
• Coordinate with other business partners and channels to ensure content development is organized, streamlined, and distributed to maximize impact cost effectively
• Share quarterly dashboards, best practices, strategy analysis, and competitive insights with stakeholders to demonstrate social results, community engagement, and test-and-learn opportunities
• Define content Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that resonate with our business goals, enabling us to measure and optimize our impact
• Attending industry conferences and events as needed 

What you will bring

• Proven track record of at least 3-5 years in content management, Thought Leadership, or research roles, preferably in higher education
• Strong writing and editing skills; ability to write for a variety of audiences across multiple communication channels and vehicles and the ability to translate complex issues into compelling communications
• Exceptional research and analytical skills with experience conducting quantitative analyses in business context.
• Experience collaborating with subject matter experts, executives, and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in data analysis and content performance measurement tools.
• Creative mindset with a passion for staying up-to-date with industry developments.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter who is comfortable working in a hybrid setting.
