Key Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of Technical Projects, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Stakeholder Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with project stakeholders, including senior leadership, program managers, technical teams, and external partners, to ensure alignment of project goals and priorities.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues proactively, and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions and ensure project success.
- Resource Management: Manage project resources effectively, including personnel, budget, equipment, and materials, to optimize project outcomes and deliverables.
- Communication and Reporting: Communicate project status, progress, and key milestones to stakeholders through regular status updates, reports, presentations, and other channels as appropriate.
- Change Management: Lead change management activities, including impact assessments, stakeholder engagement, and communication plans, to facilitate smooth transitions and acceptance of project deliverables.
- Quality Assurance: Establish and implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure that project deliverables meet defined requirements and quality criteria.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and consultants to ensure the successful integration of vendor solutions and services into project deliverables.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement, innovation, and best practices adoption to enhance project management practices and outcomes.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with policies, regulations, and standards, as well as industry best practices and methodologies for project management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Technical Project management, with a track record of successfully delivering complex IT projects in a government or regulatory agency environment.
- U.S. Citizenship Required for U.S. Government client. No Exceptions!
- Ability to obtain and maintain Required U.S. Government Public Trust and/or Secret Clearance.
- Strong technical background and understanding of IT systems, architectures, and technologies, with experience in areas such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and enterprise applications.
- Project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams.
- Proven experience in managing project budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and quality.
- Experience with Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) and tools (e.g., JIRA, Agile Central) is desirable.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, policies, and initiatives is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and a focus on achieving results.
