Qualifications:
Education Minimum Requirement: · High School Diploma Required Experience and Skills: · High school diploma and 5 years of HVAC-R experience or a 2-year technical degree in HVAC and 2 years of experience. Proficiency in the use and knowledge of PCs (Hardware & Software) including Microsoft Windows platform. Client, HVAC, and Instrumentation troubleshooting skills. · Must be able to read electrical prints, P&ID's and understand P&ID control loops. · Excellent documentation and verbal communication skills. · Must possess the ability to collaborate effectively with peers and display strong interpersonal and organizational skills. · Must be able to lift 50 lbs., work from ladders, platforms, and mechanical lifts. · Must possess a valid EPA 608 Certification or the ability to obtain within 30 days of employment or the ability to obtain prior to first day of employment. Preferred Experience and Skills: · Knowledge of industrial HVAC and building automation systems. · Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems which include DX systems, cascade refrigeration systems and absorption systems. · Experience working in a regulated industry such as FDA. · Desiccant Dehumidification System. Room pressure controls. · Industrial experience involving utility system generation, distribution/control, and strong knowledge of steam, compressed air, refrigeration, and water systems. · Backflow testing
Responsibilities:
The HVAC&R Technician must possess primary knowledge in the industrial HVAC&R environment specifically industrial refrigeration systems which includes DX systems, chillers, cascade refrigeration, freezers, and cold boxes. HVAC&R troubleshooting skills are essential, and the applicant must have experience with GMP areas, room pressurization and dehumidification systems. You must be able to read electrical prints, P&ID's and understand P&ID control loops. Extensive industrial experience involving utility systems with a strong knowledge of HVAC, steam, potable water, and knowledge of DESIGO or any other Client systems. Major Responsibilities · Repairs and maintains all vaccine process support equipment to include air handlers, hot water skids, refrigerators, freezers, ultra-low freezers, incubators, all forms of climate controlling systems. · Prepares technical documentation (preventative maintenance procedures) on as needed basis · Participates in the establishment and improvement of new and existing process support equipment · Provides technical specifications and information to Quality, Manufacturing, Process-Project Engineers, and other MMD requestors · Maintains Utility equipment by developing/performing PM's, installing new equipment, completing validation protocols, documenting work using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS, SAP) and other duties as requested by the Maintenance Manager. · Performs preventative maintenance inspections and prepares inspection reports concerning operation of equipment and mechanical condition of equipment. · Provides technical training to other site personnel
