Form of workWe are seeking a Senior Tax Associate to join our Private Client Services team. The individual will work closely with partners, managers and clients with tax compliance and planning.
Essential Duties
- Prepare tax returns ranging from individuals, partnerships and some related entity returns for high-net-worth families.
- Review tax returns and projects of Tax Associates while gaining increasing responsibility with the review process.
- Responsible for more complex tax return preparation.
- Assist in staff development and training.
- Research and consult on various tax engagements.
- Respond to inquiries from the IRS and other tax authorities.
- Interact with managers, partners, and clients.
Qualifications
- BA/BS degree in Accounting from an accredited college/university required; MST preferred.
- 2-3 years of progressive tax experience in public accounting required.
- CPA certification or demonstrated progress towards obtaining CPA certification preferred.
- 150-credit coursework completion required.
- Experience in preparing individual, partnership and entity returns required.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax laws.
- Ability to establish and maintain good client relationships.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computer software packages and platforms including Microsoft Office Suite, ProSystems and CCH.
- Ability to work additional hours to meet client deliverables.
- Ability to travel locally to clients when required and have access to car/public transportation.
The compensation for this position ranges from $80,000 - $95,000. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual's qualifications, experience, skills, and certifications.
