Job Description Summary:
Please see job description posted in previous search. The duties listed below are only a portion of the job description. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly sales tax process, including:
- Compile data files to be sent to Vertex in order to prepare monthly sales tax returns
- Review monthly sales tax returns prepared by Vertex
- Prepare entries and reconcile sales tax general ledger accounts
- Monitor Sales tax mailbox, and handle any internal and external inquiries/requests coming into the mailbox
- Apply sales tax exemption certificates to customer accounts in Vertex as needed.
- Handle any state tax notices/correspondence/audits from state tax authorities
- Provide use tax accrual information to AP as needed
- Research sales/use tax issues as needed
- Handle property tax returns/assessments
- Handle any tax notices/correspondence/audits from federal, state, and local tax authorities
- Assist with other domestic tax issues/research as needed
- Assist with financial reporting of taxes as needed
Required Qualifications: 4-5 years experience in Sr. Tax Accountant role
