As a member of the Architecture Management area, you will be part of a multi-faceted team working with government and industry partners to manage key elements of the US and UK Strategic Weapon System program. We are looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to immediately contribute to our team supporting sustainment of the Strategic Weapon System on legacy platforms, and upgrade and deployment of the Strategic Weapon System on new platforms. This is a fast paced job opportunity where you'll not only serve the current needs of the program, but contribute to increased efficiency in the execution and management of this leg of the Strategic Triad.
In this job, you will:
- Engage in all aspects of the Coordinated Interface (Coordination) management process from change request review to issuance of revised Coordination documents.
- Interact with industry partners to achieve resolution of dissenting technical comments.
- Propose resolution to technical and programmatic issues requiring escalation to managers and senior technical leads.
- Communicate status of active changes including point in process, schedule health, and potential challenges to other engineers, management chain, and presentation to government customer.
- Review proposed alterations to Strategic Weapon System and Non-Strategic Weapon System equipment to identify impacts to Coordinated interfaces.
- Verify adherence to Coordinated requirements during Facility Technical Proficiency Evaluations and Maintenance Activity Evaluations.
- Engage in the migration of Coordination documents into new native toolsets.
- Contribute to the development of briefing materials for specific technical issues, program reviews, and emergent meetings.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Typical education and years of related/relevant work experience required: A Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or similar technical discipline and at least four years of related/relevant work experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across any and all phases of standard management process.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience with Strategic Systems Programs Coordination Documents
- Experience with IBM Rational DOORS
- Engineering and/or Configuration Management experience on an ACAT 1 program
- Experience performing steps and managing files within a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool
- Familiarity with SysML tools, CAMEO Systems Modeler especially preferred
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $92290 - $156860
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
