Please Note: This assignment is a US Government Contract which requires all applicants to be US Citizens.
Compensation: $85K-$140K- (Negotiable based on skills and experience)
Required Qualifications:
- 7-10 years of experience (or fewer with an advanced degree)
- Strong communication, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD-882E and tools like Team Center, JIRA, Confluence, and DOORS.
- Experience with High Voltage and Autonomous Software embedded systems.
- Familiarity with User Centered Design philosophy and approaches
- Experience with safety and HFE related Military Standards.
- Agile environment experience and familiarity with defense industry.
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field (Master's degree preferred)
- Certification in System Safety discipline (e.g., ISO 26262 training)
- Evaluate customer requirements for System Safety and ensure vehicle compliance.
- Conduct System Safety analysis, supporting design change recommendations.
- Collaborate with design teams to incorporate System Safety Engineering input into vehicle design.
- Develop System Specification Document - Safety requirement management, definition, connectivity, traceability, and validation.
- Generate System Safety reports for submission to the Customer.
- Create and manage Hazard Tracking System, Human/System Interface Databases, Risk Registers, and more.
