Summary
This role will ensure assigned finish goods warehouses perform to Class A standards and deliver operational excellence, data integrity and supply reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Supports Stockroom Supervisor with daily operations.
- Helps provide support and direction to team members.
- Maintains accurate receiving documentation, inventory files, and records.
- Ensures all documents are processed in an accurate and timely manner. This includes, but is not limited, to routing, posting, and filing.
- Ensures materials received are reconciled with packing slips and purchase orders and moved to the appropriate storage area.
- Ensures materials issued are posted to inventory records.
- Ensures the shipment of outbound goods is handled according to Simplot's policies and procedures.
- Ensures inventories are maintained at desired levels.
- Interfaces directly with vendors to incorporate all aspects of inventory needs, deliveries, and shipping. This includes reviewing purchase orders, following up on back orders and coordination of shipping.
- Ensures communication (oral and written) to vendors and other plant personnel is appropriate, accurate, timely, and courteous.
- Ensures stockroom and office areas are maintained in a clean and orderly manner.
- Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
- Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
- Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and procedures.
Typical Education
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Other Information
- Familiar with or capable of learning the JDE system
- Advanced computer literacy across MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
- Ability to pass written and practical application for forklift certification
- Hands on experience in inventory control and computerized inventory systems
- Knowledge of warehouse and transport operations
- FMCG exposure
- Overall Supply Chain knowledge gained through certification
- Accounting / Clerical background advantageous
