Remote Position - Anywhere USA

Diversity & Affirmative Action Specialist serves as primary contact for the implementation and monitoring of Affirmative Action Plans and government compliance programs. This position involves creating, executing and overseeing initiatives focused on diversity and inclusion within the organization. This position will ensure that all locations follow Affirmative Action policies, promoting equal opportunities, and fostering an inclusive workplace culture.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Diversity Studies or a related field.
  • 3 - 5 years of directly related professional experience in an Affirmative Action, diversity, equity and inclusion role.
  • Prior experience leading or working closely with areas such as Talent Acquisition, Employee Relations, Talent Management.
  • Certified Diversity Professional designation a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
  • Analytical skills, critical thinking and Excel skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and professional working relationships with a diverse population.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collect data from all applicable US locations in preparation for Affirmative Action Plans to include data for new hires, promotions, terminations, active employees and compensation.
  • Ensure data is reviewed for accuracy at least quarterly by locations for development of Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the development of Affirmative Action Plans in collaboration with a third-party vendor.
  • Ensure that all locations are establishing relationships with external organizations dedicated to diversity and exclusion, facilitated by a third-party vendor.
  • Comply with the annual certification process for Federal Contractors.
  • Complete the annual reporting for Veterans and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
  • Collaborates with HR Managers to implement action items in recruitment and retention efforts outlined in the Affirmative Action Plans.
  • Provide guidance and leadership to ensure compliance with EEO Policies & Procedures.
  • Stay informed in reference to federal state, and local laws related to Affirmative Action and equal employment opportunity, and ensure the organization's practices align with these regulations.
  • Ensure that all locations are in compliance with federal, state and local laws and regulations related to Affirmative Action and equal employment opportunity.
  • Contribute to the development of an organizational culture that values diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where employees from all backgrounds feel respected and supported.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends related to Affirmative Action and diversity, ensuring the organization remains at the forefront of promoting equal opportunities.
  • Advance the organization's commitment to diversity and inclusion at the local level, fostering a workplace that reflects the broader community and providing equal opportunities for all employees.
  • Develop and report annually on the group's Diversity and Inclusion programs and activities.
  • Provide training for Human Resource Representatives at local level on Affirmative Action process.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources Representatives at the local level to create and execute strategies for diversity and inclusion.
  • Acts as ambassador of our company values of equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging.
  • Assists in the administration of the company applicant tracking system.
