The Senior Statutory Reporting/ ICO Accountant will be crucial in ensuring compliance with statutory reporting requirements and maintaining effective internal controls within the organization. This individual will be responsible for preparing statutory financial statements, coordinating audits, and providing support for intercompany transactions and activities.

The Senior Statutory Reporting/ICO Accountant may:
• Prepare and oversee accurate and timely statutory financial statements for all legal entities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Coordinate and manage the audit process for statutory accounts, including liaising with internal and external auditors to facilitate annual audits and reviews.
• Provide necessary documentation, explanations, and support during audit processes.
• Prepare any audit findings or recommendations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Stay updated with accounting standards and regulatory changes that impact statutory reporting in our industry and proactively assess their implications for the organization.
• Provide guidance and support to cross-functional teams, collaborating with them to gather and consolidate financial information accurately.
• Conduct financial analysis and interpret financial data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
• Provide recommendations for improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, financial reporting and accounting system optimization.
Intercompany Accounting
• Prepare intercompany invoices and reconciliations, adhering to industry-specific guidelines and ensuring accuracy.
• Prepare journal entries on a monthly and ad hoc basis to record intercompany transactions effectively, maintaining proper documentation and support.
• Monitor and record intercompany transactions, including billings, payments, and settlements.
• Identify opportunities to streamline intercompany accounting processes and enhance efficiency.
• Collaborate with the finance team and other stakeholders to resolve intercompany accounting issues and ensure accurate intercompany reporting.
Qualifications::
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
• 5-7 years of experience in accounting, with a strong focus on statutory reporting and intercompany accounting.
• Experience in both public accounting and publicly traded companies, with a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and documentation.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred
• CPA license is highly preferred.
• Experience in the oil and gas industry or a similar sector.
• Familiarity with international accounting standards, regulations, and IFRS.
• Proficiency in financial accounting systems and ERP software (i.e, Oracle).
