This position is 40 hours per week, working Monday through Friday from 7:00am-3:30pm in the Outpatient Clinics and Columbia location.

- Serve as a resource, mentor, and role model for staff
- Overall management and supervision of assigned personnel, including but not limited to: ensuring compliance with departmental and organizational policies and procedures, hiring, supervision, performance management, goal setting, progressive discipline, staff development, work/leave schedules, day-to-day workplace interventions, and problem resolution
- Supports the Director of Outpatient Nursing Services & School-Based Programs in resolving clinical, employee, and patient care concerns
- Participates in an active leadership role (chair or co-chair) in at least one Nursing Department Committee and/or participates in at least one Institutional Committee
- Establishes and maintains effective lines of communication to facilitate daily activities
- Fill in as charge nurse and help maintain clinic flow one day a week
- Maintaining all applicable licenses and certifications and participating in continuing education and committees as available to further expand nursing knowledge
- Be open, understanding, patient, and kind to every person who enters the clinic, regardless of age, sex, race, gender, religion, medical conditions, etc
Education: Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN or enrolled in a BSN program to be completed within 2 ½ years of hiring date.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience required, minimum of 1 year pediatric experience required, and a minimum of 1 year of supervisory or management experience required.
License: Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license from Maryland or a compact state.
Certification: Current CPR certification that included hands on skills
