Doeren Mayhew is seeking proactive and eager to learn Senior Staff Accountantto become a member of the Firm's corporate accounting and finance group in our Troy, Michigan office. The Senior Accounting Associate will report directly to the firm's Controller. The corporate accounting and finance group can be a fast-paced and deadline driven environment at certain points throughout the year, but it's made up of a group of friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate individuals. Responsibilities:

• Prepare bank reconciliations for multiple entities
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations for multiple entities
• Record inter-company accounting entries and other journal entries
• Assist with various aspects of the month-end and year-end close process
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and other financial reports
• Backup for the Accounts Receivable Associate

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of corporate or public accounting experience
• Prior experience in a multi-entity organizational structure a plus
• Hard-working, detail-oriented, and high integrity professional with personable demeanor
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently
• Strong communication skills, both written and orally with the ability to interact with all levels of personnel
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially excel, SAGE 100 experience is a plus
