The primary duties of the Senior Staff Accountant include the responsibility of supporting the hotel division accounting functions, including: general ledger, accounts payable, inclusive of financial statement preparation, and internal controls. This position ensures accounting functions are implemented and performed as designed for the hotel division accounting department. The position provides direct supervision and direction to team members, while ensuring personnel growth, development, and achievement of strategic company objectives

Executive Exemption:

The position’s primary duties are the supervision of the hotel division’s accounting department. The Exempt Supervisor customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full time equivalent team members. The Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and evaluating team member performance and providing recommendations as to hiring, firing, promotion and other changes of status of team members within the Department. The Supervisor also customarily and regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment in defining and achieving Department objectives. The Supervisor also has the responsibility for interfacing with other departments, divisions and hotels to assure integration of accounting into the overall management of the Company. The Manager is required to spend at least 50% of work time engaged in primary duties outlined above.
