Purpose
Work as a Fire protection engineer within Process Safety Engineering department
Responsibilities
- With limited supervision, analyzes hazards and determines the extent of Fire Protection requirements per client procedures and project requirements.
- Has working knowledge of international and local codes and standards with ability to implement in technical designs.
- Develops project design documents for fire water, fire and gas systems, fire extinguishers and other Fire Protection systems.
- Performs/oversees Fire Protection calculations.
- Perform non-routine technical assignments as needed by Project
- Perform tasks according to company procedure industry codes and regulations.
- Handles various assignments, including rework, in timely manner to meet schedule deadlines.
- Performs assigned work efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to lead discipline team members to execute project scope, schedules, and budgets in conformance with the project requirements and with a minimum of project
- Collect data required to assist with the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, reports, RFPs, SOW's, and other project documentation; provide recommendations and prepare documents.
- Coordinate with team members, leadership, and project stakeholders
- Review technical reports to ensure compliance with customer and RFP
- Provide technical support for the review of the commissioning plan, design, and construction submittals; evaluate construction quality management.
Technical and Industry Experience:
- Have a minimum of 15 years relevant experience with some EPC background
- Familiarity with application of fire codes for various market segments.
Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
Preferred
Hold an active U.S. Professional Engineering license (P.E.)
