Under direction from the Information Technology (IT) Supervisor II, Oracle APEX Application Development, the incumbent serves as the Application Development & Maintenance (ADAM) Bureau's Senior Software Technical Specialist and leads the development of the most complex system analysis, design, and coding efforts in support of the Department's mission critical applications. The incumbent is expected to take the lead in database design & analysis and front end development of an application suite using various platforms including Oracle APEX. The incumbent is expected to assist in the ADAM Bureau's Maintenance & Operations (M&O) process by handling priority APEX application fixes and training resources within ADAM Bureau's team to work on Oracle APEX platforms. The incumbent is a key member in solving important business problems for the department & division, and is able to utilize technology through prescribed methods and standards, COi's Software Development Methodology (SOM) and independently research and utilize new technology through prescribed methods and standards.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to contribute as a team member is required. Effective written and verbal communication skills and a strong customer focus are also required.

Working Conditions
- Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants must reside in California.
- Must be able to work in a high rise building.
- Ability to transport documents and/or equipment up to 20 lbs., i.e. laptop computer, files, reference manuals, solicitation documents, archive boxes, etc.
- Travel - Occasional travel may be required within and/ or outside the State of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, bus, train etc.) Travel may include overnight stay(s).
