Job Title: Senior Software Quality Engineer

Job Duties: Develop and execute software tests to identify software problems and causes. Test system modifications to prepare for implementation. Interface with Architects, Senior Developers, and Product Owners to clarify requirements and drive automated test solutions. Develop, configure, code, and test automation programs. Present work in automation and code review sessions and articulate support decisions created. Contribute to design specifications for assigned work within defined architecture, SOPs, and techniques. Prepare automation documentation and provide first and second-level troubleshooting, and technical and operational support. Develop test scripts for new frameworks and develop strategies for standardization. Create automation strategies across application stack and ensure frameworks deliver capabilities. Provide input for technical design automation framework of new applications and systems. Conduct feasibility analysis for new systems and improve existing systems to increase stability and availability.
May telecommute.
Job Requirements: Position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or related field and 5 years of post-bachelor's progressive experience in a related occupation.
Must have some experience in each of the following:
Using and configuring the following Test Management and Defect Management Tools: ALM, TestRail, Zephyr, and Jira; Writing Linux kernel scripts for automating Selenium tests in DevOps pipelines and to drive Quality Control and Quality Assurance; Working with relational database concepts and writing SQL queries with complex table joins (inner and outer) using primary and secondary keys to optimize performance; Writing SQL statements in DB2 and Oracle DBMS to select and upsert data; Working with the following automation and DevOps applications: Selenium (Java and Javascript), GIT or SVN, Jenkins or TeamCity, and SOAPUI or Postman or RestAssured; and Working in Retail Industry and with Order Management (OMS) Systems, including IBM Sterling OMS or Manhattan, Point of Sale systems (POS), Payment Systems (Synchrony), and Retail Merchandising Systems (RMS).
