Looking for a high impact, technologically challenging problem to solve? Interested in working in the Data Center Infrastructure Management space? Join the Modius engineering team! Modius is looking to expand its existing engineering team with dynamic, results-driven backend engineers. You will design, develop, and maintain mission-critical applications using Java and its frameworks. We are looking for engineers who have 5-15 years of experience with a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions on time and within budget.
Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Certifications in relevant technologies or frameworks (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise software development in Java web application stack, with a strong focus on building scalable and distributed systems.
Proficiency in Java, SQL, JavaScript, and Python
Extensive experience with MSSQL, Database Design, Data Storage, Backup and Recovery, Performance Tuning, Database Administration, Database High Availability, Advanced SQL Query Experience.
Experience with high transaction database environments where a database system handles a large volume of transactions or operations within a relatively short period with intensive write and read activities is a plus.
Experience with backend frameworks and technologies (e.g., Spring Boot, Apache Tomcat, MyBatis, Maven, Kafka).
Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and distributed computing concepts.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues in production environments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
