Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack

Come join us at Mixhalo! We are an augmented audio start-up co-founded by guitarist Mike Einziger, violinist Ann-Marie Simpson, and tech industry veteran Vik Singh, and run by serial entrepreneur and veteran product executive, John Vars. We build wireless solutions for real-time data delivery at live events. Starting first in the music industry, we have built a platform to allow concert-goers to stream live audio at studio quality, directly from the soundboard just as the musicians do on stage (as opposed to blasted over huge speakers into the open air). We have so far partnered with incredible acts like Sting, Metallica, Aerosmith, Pharell, and Charlie Puth, among others. We have leveraged the same technology to make multiple channels of real-time play-by-play commentary available through partnerships with the Buffalo Sabres, Sacramento Kings, the Los Angeles Football Club, and others.
As Mixhalo continues to scale, we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Full Stack to build and grow our existing infrastructure.
Mixhalo is remote-friendly, but this is a hybrid role with some in-office requirements. Candidates for this role must be located in the San Francisco Bay Area and be able to go into our SoMa office two days per week.
What You'll Do

• Design and develop systems to accelerate Mixhalo's growth towards self-serve management
• Build and maintain our internal tools to help scale and simplify our production and development environments
• Architect and provide guidance on deployment of containerized applications
• Document and diagram internal architectures as we attempt to make our new product line more serviceable
• Evaluate and construct robust APIs for existing and new services
• Work cross-stack to ensure features are represented at each level (frontend, backend services, databases)
• Propose technical solutions and spearhead technical solutioning on some of the team's initiatives
• Work closely with cross-functional teams for successful project delivery
• Mentor junior engineers and encourage a collaborative environment

Skills + Requirements

• Possess a robust technical background, with over 5 years of experience dedicated to working on Full Stack production code bases, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to problem-solving and user satisfaction
• Proficient in JavaScript, React.js, Go and Python, with an emphasis on engineering expertise rather than mere familiarity with specific languages or frameworks, as we value versatility
• A solid understanding of networking fundamentals (transport layer, application layer, routing)
• Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, ECR)
• Solid Docker foundation with exposure to Kubernetes
• Adept at seamlessly integrating RESTful APIs into web applications
• Demonstrated history of constructing engineering solutions with a focus on support
• Skilled in tech leadership, ensuring timely and high-quality product deliveries with finesse
• Enthusiastic about being a generalist, effectively navigating both frontend and backend
• challenges while prioritizing user satisfaction for both internal and external stakeholders
• Produce superior code that undergoes comprehensive testing, supported by clear documentation, and equipped with appropriate production observability
• Flourish in a collaborative environment, effectively engaging with diverse stakeholders and subject matter experts
• Exhibit outstanding communication skills in both written and verbal formats
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed, leaving no room for oversight
• Startup experience is a plus

Compensation
The annual base salary range for this position is USD $150,000 - $170,000. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible to receive equity in the form of stock options.
To provide transparency to candidates, we share base salary ranges for all job postings regardless of state. We set standard base salary ranges for all roles based on function and level, benchmarked against similar stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including skills, depth of and relevant work experience, location, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
