We are building world changing products. You"ll be part of the team responsible for bringing the Nxu cloud and mobile solutions from concept to production launch. You will own end-to-end development and deployment of Nxu Cloud and Mobile Application backend Microservices built on AWS.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Hands-on backend microservices development in Node, AWS Serverless/Lambda, and AWS managed services (IoT, Cognito, SNS, SQS)
Assist with DevOps tasks (CI/CD pipelines, VPC, ALB, ECS, WAF, Terraform/Cloud Formation) and setting up shared infrastructure as needed to support other development teams
Ability to work independently, take ownership and deliver quality product
Establish standards and best practices, participate in design and code reviews
Support production applications and releases
Inspire and mentor team members
Perform performance and scalability analysis
Implement integration and unit test coverage
IDEALLY, YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE WITH:
5+ years hands-on experience with developing and deploying applications in AWS (Git, Maven, CI/CD, Jenkins, Docker, ECS, ELB, VPC, S3, Terraform, AWS Serverless/Lambda)
5+ years hands-on experience with Node/Nest based REST services
Experience with Microservices development in NodeJS
Experience integrating with backend APIs and REST web services
Startup Fit: fast paced environment, handling ambiguity and change and availability for after-hours support
Experience relational databases (Postgres or MySQL)
Preferred - experience with AWS managed services (IoT, Cognito, SQS, SNS) and distributed architecture
AND YOU'RE SOMEONE WHO IS:
Preferred: AWS Certifications
Preferred: B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering
Experience working with remote software development teams
Excellent communicator & critical thinker
Self-starter who is willing to get their hands dirty
Team player who is excited by rapid development cycle
