Form of workSenior Principal Embedded Software Engineer job in Scottsdale, Arizona is available with GeoLogics Top Aerospace & Defense company. In this job you will apply project leadership principles, including cost performance, schedule milestones, earned value, cost account management, key performance measures and statistical process controls in the development of software defined radios.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop Embedded Software solutions in a continuous integration/continuous development environment (DEVOPS) in an open source tool chain environment
- Collaborate with a small team of other passionate developers
- Challenge ways of solving problems and manage risk through rapid prototyping and learning
- Imagine new ways of providing capability quickly
- Demonstrate new capability to customers and rapidly adapt solutions to be the first to meet their future needs
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire, U.S. citizenship is required.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or STEM and 10+ years of experience or Master's degree and 8+ years of experience.
- Must have experience in all four of the following: C, C++, Linux & Python
- Experience with object oriented programming, system processes and scripting languages.
- Must have Software Defined Radios (SDRs) experience/knowledge.
- Demonstrated use and understanding of test engineering concepts, principles, and theories
- Agile experience preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding and the ability to apply project leadership principles including cost performance, schedule milestones, earned value, cost account management, key performance measures and statistical process controls

- Pay Range: $93.00/hr - $103.00/hr W2 (an hour worked is an hour paid)
- Type: W2 hourly Contract (40 hrs), No 1099, No third parties, No C2C
- Duration: This position may transition to a full time, direct hire with our customer.
