Job Summary
Business Experience Technologies (BXT) is niche group within the technology organization that primarily caters the business customers ranging from small business, mid-market, large enterprise customers to federal government customers. BXT group is looking for a Senior Engineer who will be responsible for the requirement analysis, design, development and testing of software for backend services, web application. In addition, the senior engineer will publish the relevant artifacts, gives demo of the development functionality, train non-technical personnel as needed and assist with tracking of platform of performance metrics.
Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Collaborates with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
- Assumes the primary lead role to drive the technical design for the platform in collaboration with architecture and project teams.
- Assumes the ownership of the feature design and guides the team throughout the delivery cycle of the feature.
- Defines and recommends the best practices and ensure the designs adheres to the best practices with emphasis on operations stability and reliability of the platform.
- Customizes current applications and supports applications in production.
- Assists in the rollout of software releases.
- Serves as a guide and mentor for junior level members and provides training on internally developed software applications.
- Keeps current with technological trends within the industry.
- Assists in tracking and evaluating of platform performance and operational metrics.
- Provides estimates and helps the management with the delivery planning.
- Displays expertise in knowledge of engineering methodologies, concepts, and skills and their application in specified engineering specialty.
- Presents and defends architectural, design, and technical choices to internal audiences.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Core Technical Skills
- Experience with C# and
- Experience with Java is a plus.
- Experience with Web and Integration development frameworks like ASP.Net 7, .NET Blazor Framework, Azure Functions - Durable functions, Entity framework, Azure Infra and .Net UI framework.
- Experience with design/architectural patterns, Azure architecture and Orchestration functions.
- Experience with Relational Databases like MSSql, and No-SQL Databases like Azure Cosmos DB.
- Experience with Web technologies like HTML, JavaScript, CSS.
- Experience with Web/micro-services technologies like .Net API.
- Experience with Cloud development environments like MS Azure is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Concourse etc is a plus.
- Experience with Telco or Cable industry a plus.
- Network experience is a plus.
