Form of work Role: Senior Site Reliability Engineer
Location: Dallas, TX ( REMOTE Work) or Pleasanton, CA ( Remote work).
Type: 3-6 months contract with very high chances of extension( possibility of conversion)
Bill Rate: $110/HR
This is a 100% REMOTE role. C2C- Third party candidates are Ok too.
SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join our team. The SRE will be responsible for maintaining and improving the build and deployment infrastructure for our Java-based applications, with a focus on Java application development and knowledge of Spring Boot . The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, automation, and a passion for building and maintaining reliable and scalable infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, and maintain the build and deployment infrastructure for our Java-based applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve the overall reliability, scalability, and availability of our applications.
- Develop automation scripts to streamline the deployment process and reduce manual intervention.
- Implement and maintain continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for Java-based applications.
- Monitor the performance and health of the infrastructure and take proactive steps to prevent issues.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis to identify and resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with security and compliance policies.
- Work closely with the development team to understand application architecture and design, and provide guidance on best practices for deployment and infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain expertise in Java application development, including experience with Spring Boot.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of experience in software development or operations, with a focus on build and deployment infrastructure for Java-based applications.
- Strong programming skills in Java.
- Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef, or Terraform.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, or Travis CI.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
