Department Overview
As part of PG&E’s commitment to environmental stewardship, the company has had an extensive program of Environmental Remediation for more than 20 years. The Environmental Remediation team is responsible for the assessment and clean up environmental impacts associated with the company's historic operations.
Position Summary
This position will be supporting the Topock Remediation Project in Needles, California. This position provides oversight of the operations and maintenance of the site remediation system. Oversees all site investigation activities; sample collections; biological surveys; well drilling; construction of new facilities; construction kick-off meetings; management of all waste; employee and contractor training and site orientations. Executes a comprehensive safety program for the site that includes safety procedures; job safety analyses; safety inspections; investigations, training, and daily tailboard meetings.
PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.
A reasonable salary range is:
California Minimum: $97,000
California Maximum: $144,000
Job Responsibilities
• Applies advanced knowledge of professional and technical concepts to work on projects in multiple disciplines such as civil, electrical, process instrumentation and pipeline construction management with a high degree of knowledge and ability for construction, operations, and maintenance.
• Supports meetings and conference calls.
• Implements a comprehensive safety program for the site at the direction of the Site Operations Manager, Principal.
• Performs oversight of site investigation activities at the direction of the Site Operations Manager, Principal.
• Liaison with local PG&E operations.
• Communicates with local state and federal agencies on behalf of the project.
• Communicates to local stakeholders including residents and tribes when directed by the Site Operations Manager, Principal.
• Coordinates activities with local landowners
Qualifications
Minimum
• High School Diploma
• 5 years of job-related experience
• 40 Hour HAZWOPER Certification
• Available to travel 10%-20% of time to Bay Area and other locations as required.
Desired
• BA/BS in engineering, sciences, project management, construction management, environmental management, or related science field
• 8 years of job-related experience
