Join Ignite Consults as we seek a Senior Security Architect for a temporary-to-hire position spanning six (6) months. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting and implementing Security Architecture patterns that not only adhere to regulatory obligations and data protection standards but also align with our client's overarching business and corporate security strategy. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
- Mitigate threats through the design and implementation of robust Security Architecture elements.
- Harmonize enterprise security solutions with established frameworks and standards (e.g., SABSA, NIST 800-53, ISO 27002) while aligning them strategically with overall business and security objectives.
- Participate in risk assessments for emerging technologies and projects, conducting security assessments, identifying gaps in existing architecture, and proposing necessary changes or enhancements.
- Stay abreast of evolving products, technologies, and best practices to enhance organizational security and safeguard the interests of stakeholders.
- Implement secure configuration management processes to fortify the organization's security posture.
- Collaborate in the development of comprehensive disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Identify and prioritize critical system functions to ensure the continuity and availability of vital business processes, enabling prompt recovery in the event of system failure.
- Support senior leadership in formulating security policies, standards, and strategies.
- Document security requirements and controls to safeguard information, systems, and technology assets, detailing the impact of new technology implementations on the current security environment.
- Contribute security requirements for inclusion in requests for proposals (RFPs), statements of work (SOWs), and other procurement documents, while effectively communicating current and emerging security threats to project team members.
YOU SHOULD HAVE:
- Bachelor’s Degree in IT related field or relevant experience.
- Seven (7) years of IT experience in network security, assessment, investigation and response or job-related experience.
- CISSP, CISA, CISM, Professional (CISSP)-ISSAP, TOGAF, SABSA or other relevant security related certifications highly preferred.
