Summary

The Senior Safety Communications Analyst will be responsible for providing the Universal Pressure Pumping, Inc. (UPP) organization with accurate and meaningful Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) communication mechanisms to drive change in the Company’s Safety culture and performance. The role will assist with aligning HSE related communications and collaborate on the development of related training content for Universal Pressure Pumping, Inc. (UPP). This position works under the direction of the HSE Manager, Safety Communications and Systems.

Detailed Description:

  • Comply with all Company and customer Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies, rules, practices, and guidelines
  • Develop and execute internal communications campaigns geared to engage personnel and drive a prioritized Company HSE culture
  • Assist with creation and update of HSE training materials
  • Create and implement a Company-wide HSE communication plan
  • Partner effectively to produce presentations, SharePoint content, HSE newsletters, and video HSE training content
  • Collaborate with HSE team to ensure alignment and support of key strategies and initiatives to ensure consistency of communications
  • Act as HSE SharePoint site owner; work in collaboration with team members to define content and functionality, as well as regular updates
  • Represent the Company and our values with integrity while maintaining the highest ethical and legal standards with all interactions
  • Adhere to the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Possess advanced computer skills in Microsoft (MS) Office and working knowledge of MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Knowledge of safety training programs and safety regulations, requirements, and applicable laws
  • Understanding of HSE regulatory compliance requirements (OSHA, EPA and DOT rules and regulations) and the application within the hydraulic fracturing and cementing industry
  • Ability to run reports and take ownership of training initiatives from start to finish
  • Ability to organize, multi-task, prioritize and work under time-sensitive deadlines while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor when adversity and multiple initiatives/priorities are encountered
  • Ability to maintain Company and employee confidentiality at all times, handle sensitive employee information and protect Company proprietary information in an appropriate manner
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills which include the ability to speak, write and listen in a manner that clarifies issues, promotes closure, and delivers information in a clear and concise manner and facilitates good decision-making
  • Skilled at preparing and conduct effective presentations and written report preparation
  • Possess strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision, in a fast-paced environment, independently or as part of a team
  • Strong customer service, interpersonal, and relationship skills to work effectively in a cross functional, matrixed organization and with all levels of employees, customers and third parties
  • Willing to travel as needed to other offices and work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area
  • Ability to safely navigate work sites with occasional walking, climbing, standing, stepping, etc., during normal operating conditions (day/night, outdoor hot/cold weather) and while utilizing designated personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Willing to work extended hours outside of a normal work schedule

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with 4+ years’ experience in a business role with high concentration of communication responsibilities, preferably in a safety related position; OR High school diploma or GED certificate with 10+ years’ experience in a business role with high concentration of communication responsibilities, preferably in a safety related position
  • Experience with external reporting system databases, such as ISNetworld or Avetta

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the Oil & Gas industry; familiar with oilfield equipment
  • Experience in safety role

Additional Details:

The Senior Safety Communications Analyst must work with an emphasis on individual safety and safety for others, including coworkers and third parties.  Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone, and other office equipment.
