Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a highly talented Senior Roadway/Transportation Project Engineer/Manager based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The successful candidate will interact with key internal and external clients to deliver projects and expand AECOM’s customer base.  This is a part-time variable position. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage multi-disciplined transportation projects from scoping through delivery.
  • Use Microsoft Project to maintain project schedules.
  • Supervise and/or coordinate the work of junior and mid-level staff, providing constructive guidance and mentorship.
  • Lead public meetings, agency coordination, and client interface efforts.
  • Participate in business development activities, including but not limited to managing preparation of letters of interest, qualifications statements, proposals, and interview materials.
  • Ensure compliance with all AECOM and project-specific Quality Management System procedures
  • Track and manage budgets using Oracle and Excel based tools.
  • Demonstrate leadership and communications skills required for successful client interaction
Qualifications

Minimum: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with (6) years minimum roadway design and project management experience or AS Degree with (8) years of experience.
  • Experience in managing the schedule, budget, and technical quality of large task orders or components of transportation roadway projects.

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with (6) years minimum roadway design and project management experience or AS Degree with (8) years of experience.

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.  The hourly range for this position is $40.00 - $70.00 an/hour.
