As a Senior Risk Associate at Capital One you’ll be responsible for working with business partners and other risk management associates to identify and mitigate potential risks to Capital One.
Senior Risk Associates at Capital One are highly motivated Risk Management professionals with excellent organizational and communication skills. In this role, a Senior Risk Associate will have a high level of exposure across lines of business and have the opportunity to create and implement innovative solutions.
As a Senior Associate in Capital One Bank's Monitoring, Process, & Governance organization you will work alongside the Risk Assessment and Control Testing teams that support our Retail Bank to perform quality assurance activities and lead corresponding training events to confirm that various first line risk assessments and risk management practices align to established corporate standards as well as to provide various data driven reports and metrics across various LOBs.
Responsibilities:
Identify and track quality assurance failures within our various assessment processes (i.e.PLA, PRA, RCSA) and partner with risk office leaders in root cause analysis
Identify and track quality assurance failures in control documentation and test plans and partner with leaders in the Control Testing space to identify areas with opportunities for improvement
Coordinate with various Retail Bank Risk Advisory teams to define/ implement remediation activities where necessary
Provide input and support to various monitoring and reporting activities for projects within Retail Risk. Aggregate and analyze data for quality assurance reporting
Develop key relationships with stakeholders to enable collaboration across Retail Bank
Basic Qualifications:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent certification
At least 2 years of Risk Management experience
At least 2 years of Relationship Management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Project or Process Management experience leading cross functional projects or programs in Risk
1+ years of experience working with JIRA or Confluence
Strong written and oral communication skills
Ability to work autonomously
