FUNCTION:
The Senior Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Specialist provides Revenue Cycle Management/Medical Billing services for Azalea clients and operates under the direct supervision of the Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Team Lead.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for traditional Revenue Cycle Reimbursement Specialist duties for Azalea's higher complexity and higher profile clients
- Assists the Team Lead/Manager with onboarding and training new members of the RCM Reimbursement Specialist Team
- Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for clients and co-workers as it relates to specific specialties, payers and RCM workflows
- Analyzes complex billing and reimbursement issues and applies critical thinking to provide solutions
- Effectively communicates and works with clients directly to help resolve complex denial,A/R and general reimbursement issues
- Effectively understands and communicates health care industry and payer specific billing and coding guidelines in addition to internal Azalea and Client specific guidelines
- Supports new RCM client implementation and account set up as needed.
- Assists the Reimbursement Team Lead and Reimbursement Manager with various Revenue Cycle Management-related duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
- CPC, CPB, or equivalent highly preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in progressive RCM denials and accounts receivable management experience with a minimum of 1 year of customer service/client relations and employee training experience
- Demonstrates proficiency and navigation of complete Azalea Health EHR system
- Excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in web-based and SaaS applications
