Summary:
As the Asphalt Senior Research Technician you will be in a hands-on technical role responsible for supporting the development, and market differentiation, of GAF's asphaltic products. As such, you will provide the practical expertise necessary for successful development and production activities for Ennis Operations. You will be a key link in our efforts to translate innovative research & development activities into commercially-viable, high-quality asphaltic products that will set GAF apart from our competitors.
Essential Duties:
R&D and Manufacturing
Capable of performing basic raw material testing to include, but not limited to softening point, penetration, viscosity, stain, flash, separation, tensile, tears, mixing/blend work, and coupon preparation.
Under This Roof, We Require:
• Associate's Degree with 5+ years of experience in laboratory operations.
• Knowledge of GSuite applications.
• Perform basic calculations for blending.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety.
• Capable of working with an internal database.
• Capable of building small construction projects such as test decks
