Summary

The Senior Recruiting Coordinator position is a fully onsite position in our Santa Rosa, California facility and Petaluma, California Head Office. 

 

The Senior Recruiting Coordinator is the first point of contact for our internal talent seeking new opportunities and newly hired employees. The Senior Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for high-volume recruiting and recruiting coordination for Manufacturing, Maintenance, Warehouse, and other positions at a designated Amy's plant; along with supporting PRT (Corporate/Enterprise) full-cycle administrative and coordination functions. As the Senior Recruiting Coordinator, you will partner closely with the lead Recruiter, broader People Team, Plant Manager, and Hiring Managers to anticipate and meet the developing needs to find the best people, at the right time, for the opportunities available. As a Senior Recruiting Coordinator, you will take on additional responsibilities related to training, mentoring, and exempt-level recruiting and coordinator functions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Senior Recruiting Coordinator Responsibilities

  • Participate in the full-cycle recruiting processes (sourcing for candidates, prescreening candidates, setting up interviews with the hiring manager, offers, and background checks)
  • Support with full-cycle recruiting for plant-based exempt and non-exempt positions
  • Perform full-cycle administrative and coordination responsibilities related to reviewing resumes, conducting pre-screens, scheduling interviews, and various meetings for Exempt Corporate Enterprise positions
  • Provide recruiting process and system (iCIMS) training and mentorship to other recruiting team members across the locations
  • Proactively build a network of potential candidates through social networks, trade groups, and community activity.
  • Participate in delivering recruitment training to hiring managers.
  • Identify any recruitment gaps and provide recommendations to set the business in the right direction to achieve business goals.

 

Recruiting Coordinator Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in all staffing-related activities and engage in cross-functional projects
  • Perform full-cycle administrative and coordination responsibilities related to reporting, sourcing, recruiting, interviewing, hiring, pre-employment, and onboarding
  • Manage the ITR (Internal Transfer Request) program and oversee the internal full-cycle recruiting process
  • Maintain partnerships and open orders with our preferred staffing partners
  • Maintain and keep up to date the physical job board, ITR forms, Interview Guides, and other available materials
  • Source, attend, and actively participate in local job fairs and community events
  • Coordinate and host onsite walk-in events, hiring fairs, and other related events to source external and internal talent for available opportunities
  • Track, and report hiring results and provide weekly report-outs to the business leaders on results.
  • Ad-hoc Recruiting/HR duties as required by the business, such as supporting Corporate Enterprise open positions, other plant locations, or People Team functions.
  • Uphold and maintain fair and equitable interviewing and hiring practices.
  • Attend Gemba/Tier Walks, walk the floor, and shadow roles on a weekly and monthly basis to stay current and up to date on the business priorities, while deepening your understanding of the roles across the plants
  • Attend weekly huddles to promote current internal opportunities and our referral reward program
  • Assist the orientation team as required, and ensure our new hires are prepared for their first day
  • Make time to connect with new hires and employees to build relationships and support their career growth at Amy's.

Qualifications and SkillsQUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

  • Completed or working towards an Associate degree (A.A.) from a college or university; or equivalent combination of education and/or equivalent experience.

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of administrative experience in a high-volume and high-touch environment
  • Minimum of 3 years of Human Resources, staffing, or recruiting experience, preferably in a manufacturing CPG environment is considered asset. 
  • Experienced with HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems is considered an asset. 
  • A proven track record of maintaining multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in the Natural Foods Industry or Consumer Packaged Goods is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate a basic knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Results-oriented, comfortable with ambiguity, articulate, trustworthy, and highly professional.

  • Fluently Bilingual in English and Spanish is required

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public with enthusiasm.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Able to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Able to read and interpret data in relation to Talent Acquisition.

REASONING ABILITY SKILLS

  • Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Able to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Good judgment with the ability to make timely and sound decisions

TECHNOLOGY/COMPUTER SKILLS

  • Experienced with HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems, such as iCIMS Applicant Tracking Software and UKG / Ulti Pro HRMS
  • Must have strong computer skills with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Document Management.
  • Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers.

California Compensation Range: $29.10-$41.20/hour*This range is for California employees in the Bay area.*
