The expected compensation range for this position is $80,000 - $114,000 annually depending upon skills, experience, education, and geographical location. Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Senior Rail/Transit Designer, we'll count on you to:
- Serve in a technical role, under the direction of a Project Manager
- Oversee the work of EITs and Junior Project Engineers
- Prepare detailed engineering designs for rail projects, including track design, corridor modeling, site grading, roadway design, and utility design.
- Take responsibility for project involvement, ranging from site feasibility analysis to final design and through the construction phase
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using AutoCAD, MicroStation, InRoads/InRail, Civil3D
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team setting
- MS Office software experience
- Excellent oral and written communication and project management skills
- An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree related to civil engineering
- OpenRoads/OpenRail experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
