Basic Qualifications
Associate's degree in related discipline or the equivalent is required. In addition, a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience is required. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required.
CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:
Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Candidates must be able to obtain a Secret clearance within a reasonable amount of time from date of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

General Dynamics Mission Systems is currently seeking a Senior Quality Technician in our Greensboro, NC facility.
As a Senior Quality Technician, you'll determine requirement compliance of mechanical, electro-mechanical and electronic parts and materials through visual inspection, electrical or mechanical screening and physical measurements. You'll work directly with Quality Engineering to develop process control procedures, define inspection requirements, investigate non-conformance events, assist with disposition of defective material and perform verification of rework. An essential part of your job will be to assist build associates with understanding work instructions, manufacturing practices and inspection requirements to ensure compliant product quality.

What you bring to the table:
  • Associate's degree in related discipline or the equivalent. In addition, a minimum of 1 year of directly related experience is required. J-STD_001, 002, IPC 610, MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-750 and X-Ray qualification certifications may be required
  • Clear knowledge of quality control and inspection processes and manufacturing/assembly best practices
  • Skilled in understanding work instructions and how to apply to assembly operations/inspection
  • Proven ability to collect data and assist in root cause analysis
  • Strong experience in utilizing manufacturing execution systems to process non-conforming material
  • Strong knowledge of basic metrology tools including calipers, micrometers, thread gauges, etc
  • Experience with fiber splicing, soldering, over molding and circuit card assemblies is preferred

Salary Note
This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled.
Combined Salary Range
USD $25.08 - USD $26.90 /Hr.
