First Texas Honda is looking for a highly motivated Parts Manager for our growing Parts Department! The Parts Manager is responsible for profitability in the department. To achieve this, they must effectively manage parts department personnel, have a strong knowledge of the automotive parts industry, and an in-depth understanding of financial data. This individual generates additional revenue to the dealership through careful scrutiny and oversight of parts inventory mix and volume, purchasing policies, merchandising and quality control.
Core Responsibilities:
- Must have experience in running a parts department that grossed $550K per month.
Job Duties (include but are not limited to):
- Hire, train and supervise Parts Department employees.
- Increase sales and gross profits.
- Inspire and motivate team to attain goals.
- Monitor lost sales.
- Maintain policies and procedures for parts special orders.
- Verify parts are properly tagged.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to create efficient turnaround to fulfill their demand.
- Attend manager meetings.
- Resolve customer complaints, enlisting manufacturer assistance when necessary.
- Develop new customer prospects.
- Keep proper documentation as stipulated by manufacturer and General Manager.
- Develop efficient department layout.
- Review shipping/receiving procedures to maximize efficiency.
- Properly manage inventory turns.
- Maintain proper fill rates.
Requirements:
- Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 1 year
- Education - Associate or Bachelors degree preferred.
- Possess basic math skills.
- Ensure tools and equipment are operated in a safe manner at all times.
- Be professional and courteous in attitude, wardrobe and grooming.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools and advancements, and make appropriate purchase recommendations.
- Be capable of speaking with customers or employees; reading/understanding manuals, operating and maintenance instructions, and safety regulation; and writing financial/marketing reports and other correspondence.
Hours:
- Parts department hours range from 7am-8pm.
- Saturday's are required.
- This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 50 hours per week and up to 60 hours per week.
Compensation:
- $150K+ annual salary based on performance.
- Monthly goal oriented bonus based on performance.
