We are looking for a highly motivated and passionate Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a background in Microsoft Azure and cloud product development (applications and data) who will be a valuable part of our team. This customer-facing position empowers customers on their digital journey, from envisioning new possibilities to delivering solutions that result in targeted business outcomes and a great customer experience.
You will be delivering high quality architectural solutions and business outcomes based on the Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform. Demonstrating deep knowledge of Microsoft Azure services and offerings across the entire life-cycle, together with a critical focus on Quality Assurance, technical management, and technical governance, this is your chance to drive transformational results and enable the realisation of business strategy for both customers and Microsoft.

Software Quality Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $112,000 - $218,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $145,800 - $238,600 per year.

Responsibilities

- Develop test strategies, plans, and schedules aligned with project goals and deadlines.
- Create and execute detailed, comprehensive test cases and scenarios to ensure solution quality
- Assess and implement appropriate testing tools and methodologies to improve test processes.
- Automate testing of Ethereum based blockchain solution including smart contract execution, validation, and event processing as well as end-to-end process integration.
- Identify changing needs and priorities, crafts recommendations and communicate appropriately.
- Understanding CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating testing into the DevOps workflow using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps
- Apply innovative quality strategies to our overall SDLC.
- Leading a virtual team of your peers in best practices and preferred tools to facilitate consistent, high quality delivery across MCI

Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 6+ years software industry experience
- OR Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field AND 4+ years software industry experience
- OR equivalent experience or capabilities.
- Experience using Solidity, NodeJS & web3.js, Java & Web3j, SQL & NoSQL, Python or Remix/VSCode.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven understanding of Azure Well-Architected Framework and the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure.
- Experience to conduct thorough API testing using appropriate tools and strategies.
- Experience in several complex product development or migration projects from on-prem to cloud platforms for enterprise customers.
- Knowledge of security testing methodologies and tools (e.g., OWASP ZAP, Burp Suite) to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data safety
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, for critical thinking and problem solving to provide meaningful details and logs to developers for resolution of defects.
- Working understanding of modern software development patterns, and practices
- Effective understanding of performance testing & security testing, accessibility & cross browser testing.
