Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reviews and performs walkthroughs of key financial processes to ensure operational compliance and document end to end
- Evaluates current processes and identify areas for controls and improvement. Report findings on a monthly basis
- Reviews all outgoing wires and transfers to ensure that all transactions meet internal standards to prevent fraud, etc.
- Approves all wires, ACHs and transfers below predetermined thresholds
- Follows up daily with all positive pay transactions at each of the banks to identify any potential fraud attempts
- Acts as a centralized function for all banking account callbacks for incoming and outgoing payments and disbursements for the AP, A/R & Escrow functions
- Coordinate all escrow audits with external auditors and jurisdiction to ensure timely and independent completion of the audit
- Work in conjunction with the Assistant Controller and Treasury Analyst on additional fraud and Compliance related items
Qualifications:
- Four-year college degree
- Internal audit or external audit experience
- Highly organized and practices a high level of attention to detail
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and manage workflow efficiently
- Ability to adapt to change and be a results oriented team player
- Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with top management and external parties
