About Us: MTA Construction and Development Company (MTA C&D) is excited to announce new opportunities for skilled professionals in connection with the East Side Access Construction Project (ESA). These positions are part of a 6-month project extension related to the Long Island Railroad (LIRR) extension to Grand Central Station.
Project Overview: The ESA Project, ongoing for a significant duration, aims to extend LIRR to Grand Central Station, providing a vital link to the East Side of Manhattan. While the majority of the project is complete and the new concourse is open, there are remaining tasks that require skilled individuals to contribute to the successful completion.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate work, punch lists, and testing and commissioning of building systems for both positions.
- Monitor conformance to quality, performance, specifications, and/or agency requirements.
- Review shop drawings, Construction Work Plans (CWPs), asset management data, and as-builts.
- Identify and track the resolution of commercial issues.
- Manage and track databases and reports.
- Monitor the contractor's prosecution of work and schedule.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent.
- Professional Engineer certification. (For Senior role)
- Substantial experience in construction management.
- Ability to exercise judgment and discretion in dynamic situations.
- Proficient in reading and understanding construction contract documents.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Effective communication skills.
- Experience with complex construction projects in transportation, military, or government sectors.
