Job Description:
  • Student Learning Experience Design
  • Create and maintain STLP Gold Status materials to support the design of student learning experiences (including but not limited to rubrics, registration forms, and communication of processes)
  • Support the STLP Level-Up student experience strategy
  • Support the development of a feedback process for student competitors focusing on growing knowledge and skills as well as the accurate, timely, and accessible distribution of the feedback
  • Provide training and support to coaches, teachers, and volunteers participating in the feedback process for student competitors
  • Support the design, revisions, and access of learning resources enabling student participation in STLP events (including but not limited to scoring guides/rubrics, and experience details)
  • Develop emerging, effective, and relevant methods for utilizing STLP resources inside the classroom
  • Connect STLP resources to Kentucky Academic Standards for Technology, Library Media, and Computer Science, as well as additional academic standards where applicable
  • Promote, design, and support leadership development experiences for STLP student Engineer/Ambassadors.
  • Play a vital role in the design, coordination, and support of STLP Learning Events (Regionals, DPOJ, State).
  • Articulate STLP Digital Citizen expectations.
  • Organize the Get Recognized data collection and review.
Collaborative Leadership:
  • Develop and support statewide professional growth and coaching model for STLP coaches/coordinators.
  • Represent STLP at national and state-level conferences through presentations and collaboration with hosting organizations (KySTE, ISTE, etc).
  • Support conferences and networks.
  • Advocate STLP, blended learning, and other new instructional models (including online, virtual and remote learning) as a core component of KETS and OET.
  • Establish partnerships with institutions of Higher Education to promote collaborative opportunities for K-12 students as well as pre-service teachers as it relates to STLP.
  • Build and support a volunteer network of stakeholder groups to share in the planning, implementation, and vision of STLP.
Branding and Communication:
  • Support STLP's timely and accessible outreach and messaging to stakeholders (students, teachers, district leaders, community, KDE, etc.) through digital platforms, including website and social media channels.
  • Online resource development.
  • Social Media.
  • Communications design.
Project Efficiencies and Workflows:
  • Contracts/Procurement.
  • Collaborate with OET Finance and KDE OFO to ensure comprehensive execution of the following:
  • Higher education partnerships and collaborative grants.
  • Contract processing and fulfillment.
  • Learning event support material procurement.
  • Learning Experience Onboarding and Reporting.
  • Develop/deploy an efficient and convenient registration process for competitions.
  • Develop/deploy a timely, accurate, and sensitive feedback delivery system.
  • Develop new competition category development/implementation procedures.
  • Secure dates and locations for Regional events (if return to in-person venue).
  • Integrate STLP data elements from various sources with critical OET datasets to ensure program coordination.
  • Related Expectations.
  • Travel Considerations: This position will be identified as field staff due to frequent overnight travel with many school district and regional visits in support of program goals.
  • This position will utilize a time-tracking tool to accurately record work efforts against current processes in a timely and consistent manner.
  • This position may require periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems are operating as intended and that time-sensitive deliverables are addressed.
  • The on-call duties will be defined at the discretion of the client manager and the on-call policy for the organization.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, including but not limited to:
  • Support and provide collaborative leadership in the online, virtual, and remote learning network.
  • Support and collaborate within the digital learning team, KETS field staff team, and all KETS statewide programs.
