We have already implemented a Project Management tool and trained all leadership on the project management fundamentals. Job Responsibilities:
- Project Leadership: Take ownership of major cross-departmental projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with agency leadership, subject matter experts, and team members across the organization to define project requirements, goals, and deliverables.
- Planning & Execution: Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining stages, resources, timelines, and risks. Implement these plans in a functional matrix structure, adapting to changes as necessary.
- Tool Proficiency: Use Basecamp as the primary tool for project management, ensuring all tasks, communications, and documents are appropriately tracked and stored.
- Training & Guidance: Assist in the further development of the project management capabilities of the agency, mentoring team members on best practices and methodologies.
- Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on project progress, risks, and changes. Facilitate communication between all project members to ensure seamless execution.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks and obstacles, working to devise and implement solutions or mitigations.
- Merger/Affiliation Leadership: Take the helm in merger/affiliation initiatives, ensuring a smooth integration of both organizations' systems, processes, and cultures.
- Due Diligence: Oversee and participate in comprehensive reviews of the merging/affiliated organization's assets, liabilities, processes, and personnel to make informed decisions.
- Integration Planning: Develop and implement detailed integration plans, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the merger/affiliation.
- Senior Project Manager & Integration Specialist
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as HR, IT, and Finance to ensure a smooth transition and integration of the merging/affiliated organization’s resources and systems.
- Change Management: Lead change management initiatives to help employees of both organizations adapt to the merger/affiliation, addressing concerns and ensuring clear communication throughout the process.
- Post-Merger/Affiliation Evaluation: After the merger/affiliation completion, evaluate the integration's success, identify any gaps or issues, and implement necessary solutions to optimize the new organizational structure.
- Integration Planning: Develop and implement detailed integration plans, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations during the merger/affiliation. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts from leadership to leverage their expertise and ensure a holistic and well-informed approach to integration.
- Responsible for developing long-term goals and strategic objectives for an organization. Identifies, analyzes, and monitors issues that affect profitability, growth, and productivity.
- May also be responsible for recommending financial and non-financial strategic alternatives and developing and maintaining operational plans.
Job Requirements
- A Bachelors degree or higher in project management, leadership, technology or related field - Required.
- A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, leading complex, large-scale projects - Required.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification - Required.
- Experience in managing mergers and affiliations is a significant advantage.
- Experience in nonprofit, especially in the child services space, is a major plus.
- Proficient with Basecamp or similar project management tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid remote environment.
Salary Range
- $95,000 -$100,000 salary
- Minimums and maximums may vary based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
