SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER– DALLAS
James R. Thompson, Inc. (JRT) has been providing expertise in the areas of planning, scheduling, estimating, and construction of high-end interior finish commercial projects for the last forty years. We are looking to hire a Senior Project Manager in our Dallas office.
Compensation:
Salary Negotiable: $90,000 to $120,000 depending on your experience

Responsibilities:
JRT is celebrating its 40th year in business and is seeking a Senior Project Manager with relevant construction experience managing high-end interior finish out to add to our growing team!
- You should have the leadership skills to manage the entire life cycle of a project and deliver a quality project on time while maintaining collaborative relationships with the assigned Superintendent, Subcontractors, Architects, and Owners.
- You should be comfortable speaking and leading project meetings and have excellent written & oral communication skills.
- You should be able to manage the applicable paperwork including writing Subcontracts, preparing RFI’s, Submittals, & Closeouts as well as be able to accurately track and project the financial status of all your projects monthly.
- If the project is large enough you will have a Project Assistant to help you with paperwork but you will maintain overall responsibility for your projects and should be prepared to handle all documents required.
- You should be able to read drawings quickly and develop a project schedule in either MS Project or Primavera P6
- 5+ years of construction management experience required
- You should be able to handle multiple projects of any size up to $10,000,000 although the average size project is around $1.5 million.
- Having experience building high end Corporate Interiors, Repositioning Projects, or working in Airports is required..
- Proven ability to make schedules and profit projections.
- Build new relationship and maintain existing clients and get references and referrals from each project completed.
- Maintain positive relationships with our Subcontractor Community.
- Collaborate as needed with the Chief Estimator during Preconstruction. Once the project starts estimate anything else needed and process the change requests.
- Travel is not anticipated and the position is at our office.
- Jobsite visits are typically once a week for OAC meetings.
- We do not offer work from home options.
- Closeout Projects in 30 days or less.

Education: 4-year Degree in Construction-Related Field. Construction Management is preferred, although Interior / Arch Design, or Engineering may be considered.
