Salary Range: 120k-160k

POSITION SUMMARY:

      The Senior Project Manager reports to the VP of the Project Management Office (PMO) and is responsible for the management of the implementation of groups of projects associated with one or more programs. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for completion of all the projects included in the program, the interdependence of the projects and overall success of the program.  The Senior Project Manager will collaborate with the Senior Director to set priorities, balance resources and manage critical issues.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Support and work with the VP of the Project Management and Operations.

2.    Develop and maintain project management plans and program management plans including work breakdown structure, schedule, deliverables, stakeholder analysis, issue and risk management.

3.    Manage a diverse stakeholder team including developers, analysts, subject matter experts and project owners (clients) from multiple organizations including NYeC, members/sites and software vendors.

4.    Manage financial reporting including vouchering process required by complex grant funded projects:  work with accounting staff to capture and report detailed financial records, prepare financial reports, comply with all grant-related financial reporting requirements.

5.    Manage a set of miscellaneous projects (not associated with personally managed programs) as needed. Ensure that project plans and ongoing project management documents are tied to any relevant grants or contracts which must be fulfilled and work closely with grantor or contract owner to ensure that projects are in compliance with commitments.

6.    Collaborate with the rest of the PMO Team and the rest of the organization in support of our shared mission.

7.    Develop an area of focus within the Health Information Exchange based on personal interest and strength.  Provide leadership and counsel to the team and the organization on selected areas. 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·       6+ years Health IT experience with 5 years minimum working under a management function.

·       At least 7 years of working experience as an IT Project Manager or IT Program Manager.

• Strong working exposure to Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Proficiency in MS-Project, and other MS office suite of products (Power Point, Excel, Word, Visio).
• Very strong communication, presentation, relationship building, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong goals setting and task prioritization abilities.
• Proficiency in reporting project progress through dashboard presentations, project metrics, trend analysis, executive reporting.
• Strong work ethic with good time management with ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
• Demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
• Working experience in PMO organization structure and knows program and project management best practices.
• Working experience in implementation of healthcare related projects in one or more areas.
• Ability to use strong industry knowledge to relate to customer needs and dissolve customer concerns and high level of focus and attention to detail.

·       Working knowledge of IHE and HL7 protocols.

•       Bachelor's degree required.

•    Master’s degree desired in a healthcare-related field or equivalent in business, health care policy, or information technology.
