Purpose:

  • Support and assist coordinating site based multidiscipline project activities to ensure projects are executed in a safe, efficient, cost effective and timely manner.
  • Act as primary technical coordination interface with home office and site to ensure home office support expectations are satisfied.
  • Collaborate with client personal to ensure alignment on project goals and objectives

Responsibilities:

  • Functions as HSSE/R3 Focal point for assigned projects for on-site activities (TBD)
  • Functions as primary escort for all Worley HO visitors, ensuring Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHAs) are completed for all site visits by Site Projects team
  • Coordinates with HO PM/PEs and Discipline Leads for site data verification needs, including field observations, photos, measurements and identification of any additional third-party verification services that may be required
  • Supports HO PM/PE and Discipline Leads in identifying budget requirements for all site verification needs (for each project proposal estimate)
  • Provides PE support directly to HO projects (time permitting, where planned in advance)
  • Coordinates technical support to be met with On-site team, or with HO team members as required, during construction phase with Construction Supervisors.
  • When requested by HO PM/PE, performs and coordinates constructability reviews and coordinates comments from construction and plant operations groups for all aspects and project disciplines
  • Provides input to the construction execution plan and building trade contract strategy.
  • Coordinates with HO Engineering Team, defining and resolving technical problems encountered or anticipated in the field
  • Assists the Quality Control organization with inspections of shop fabricated materials upon receipt at jobsite to ensure conformance to the approved drawings, specifications and quality plan.

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements: 

HSE Management

  • Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure OHSE requirements included in design and procurement

Client Relationships

  • Maintains and builds healthy client relationships.
  • Proactively resolves performance, scope and schedule issues with the Client as they arise.
  • Identifies, documents, communicates and meets the client's requirements

Commercial Management

  • Effectively manages assigned budgets within Worley total scope.

Scope Management

  • Compliance with Management System.
  • Compliance with requirements of the contract.
  • Effective change control process application.

Time Management

  • Supervises work in accordance with the approved schedule

Cost Control

  • Monitors cost aspects of the project within direct control to forecast final costs, identifies trends and takes action to avoid cost overruns.

Quality Management

  • Contributes to compliance with Worley policies and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of Worley engineering and procurement systems and procedures.

Team Management

  • Focuses team on achievement of milestones and other key project objectives.
  • Listens to the team, discusses the issues, resolves problems and directs activities to remove roadblocks and achieve objectives.

Communications Management

  • Regularly provides clear reports to project management.
  • Effective communication with the design team and third parties.
  • Accurate, timely and effective reporting to the Project Manager.

Risk Management

  • Monitors the closure of all identified risks and opportunities.

Design Management

  • Sets clear objectives to the design team, including achieving productivity and budget targets.
  • Ensures design team aware of, and complies with, applicable regulations and codes.
  • Manages inter-discipline interfaces effectively.

Procurement/Subcontracts Management

  • Assesses procurement processes throughout the project to ensure goods meet specification, are delivered on time and are within budget.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

 

Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Preferred:

  • 12+ years engineering/management experience on site-based project.
