DESCRIPTION:
Duties: Build product strategies and roadmaps for processing payments in the in-person (card present) as well as online (card not present) payments space. This would entail setting the vision and strategy for the product via discovery of end user needs. This includes collecting and prioritizing qualitative feedback from end customers, and internal teams like customer support and sales. Quantitative analysis of data from end customer surveys and deriving insights by studying data from payments processing systems. Competitive analysis of similar product offerings already in the market. Using these analysis techniques, validate or invalidate key product hypotheses. Make priority trade-offs as needed when there is a resource and/or time constraint. Work with cross functional stakeholders to deliver product capabilities. These stakeholders include Legal, Sales, Software Engineering, Program Management, Product Management, Architecture teams, Product Operations and Business Analytics teams. Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle, integrate with large internal enterprise systems as well as third party systems. Ensure that payment mandates from card networks are being reviewed and acted upon to keep the firm compliant. Work with Product Operations and Engineering to evaluate impacts, add relevant items to the product roadmap, and prioritize. Present collateral at all altitudes of leadership including Vice Presidents and Executive Directors. Write requirements explaining the "what" to engineering. This is done by defining Deliverables, breaking them down into epics and user stories which clearly document what needs to be done and why. Measure key product metrics for processing payments in the in-person (card present) as well as online (card not present) payments space. This would include building and monitoring the health of the product via product metric dashboards.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, Revenue Science Fellow, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Master's degree in Biotechnology, Data Analytics, Statistics, or related field of study plus 3 years of experience in the job offered or as Product Manager, Revenue Science Fellow, or related occupation.
Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: qualitative analysis; quantitative research; Excel including analyzing large data sets; building SaaS products and platforms; querying databases and data visualization tools; SQL; Tableau; Looker; Python; SAS; R; AGILE; JIRA knowledge; pre-sales and supporting product launch activities; writing user stories and PRDs; enterprise systems related to payments, pricing, billing, and rating; UI prototyping tools such as Invison or Figma; and competitive analysis.
