POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will work cross-functionally to guide products from conception to launch by connecting both technical and business worlds. You will break down complex problems into steps that drive product development.

As the Senior Product Manager in MELIC, you will be at the forefront of exciting and rapidly evolving technologies. You'll have a deep understanding of customer needs and preferences, and you'll drive product changes that deliver the highest customer value. You'll lead development of our product strategy and roadmap, drive execution and deliver results. Working closely with cross-functional teams, including s/w design, s/w development and marketing, you'll bring a multi-sided platform in advanced air mobility to life.

Serving as the ‘voice of the customer,’ you are required to build and manage key stakeholder relationships, synthesize information from multiple sources, maintain business alignment in the Product Backlog, and communicate effectively with a large variety of audiences—all with a bias toward delivering, and learning, quickly. You will be responsible for translating that direction into various document types, including requirement documents, PowerPoint presentations, user stories, and product specifications. This role will take end-to-end leadership and product ownership.

You should utilize your experience to exploit 3rd party APIs for AI, machine learning, payment systems, communication systems, insurance to enhance platform’s capabilities and user experience. You should foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and collaboration within the product team and across MELIC.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Participate as part of the overall management team to define the long-term strategic direction of the product(s).

  • Gather input from the various stakeholders including internal team members, customers, strategic partners, product marketing, UX/UI, and the development team.

  • Develop and maintain a roadmap and prioritized product backlog ensuring product vision aligns with both customer and business goals.

  • Gather and document user requirements; and write user stories.

  • Create workflows and sequence diagrams that clearly convey application implementation requirements to the software team.

  • Make decisions about the product, such as which features to include in each sprint and when the product is ready for release.

  • Prioritize the items in the backlog based on their importance to the stakeholders.

  • Work closely with the development team and UX/UI to scope/design features & functionality.

  • Ensure the development team and UX/UI always have a clear understanding of the product backlog and the priorities.

  • Ensure the development team and UX/UI are following the principles of Agile software development.

  • Monitor the progress of the development team and the product to ensure that it is on track to meet the goals and objectives of the stakeholders.

  • Create objectives and define cadences to track performance of your product(s) and measure impact of product enhancements; communicate impact clearly across the organization and use to drive prioritization.

  • Communicate regularly with the stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations for the product.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.

  • MBA is a plus.

  • Demonstrate ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, manage tradeoffs, and contribute and evaluate new ideas with pragmatic thinking.

  • Able to work effectively with geographically dispersed remote teams in multiple time zones.

  • High attention to detail including precise and effective customer communications and proven ability to manage multiple deliverables simultaneously.

  • Understanding fundamental design principles behind a scalable SaaS application.

  • Expert knowledge of Agile, Scrum methodologies etc.

  • Strong working experience with Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.

  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Self-driven proactive contributor and a team player.

  • Able to work with minimal supervision.

  • SAAS experience is a plus.

  • Experience with 3rd party API integrations and API documentation with Swagger.

The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $111,200 and $152,900/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including commissions based on achieving individual performance and/or sales metrics, incentive compensation and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these additional compensation and benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.

If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
